Are you looking for a ten-step “to do list” for how to create a clean, orderly home full of perfect children and a star-struck husband? Then, I suggest you keep surfing the web. Unfortunately, I can’t do that for you.
But if you’re searching for authenticity and transparency from someone who recognizes her desperate need for a Savior, please stick around.
- Craving wisdom from God’s Word?
- Looking for encouragement to love your children and your husband when life is hard?
- Wishing you wanted to love your neighbor as yourself?
Me, too. We’re in this together.
God chose me before I chose Him. He loved me while I was still His enemy. He pursued me and called me while I was still lost in the dark, running headlong away from His open arms. And now, He has charged me with sharing this amazingly good news with others …. like YOU.
Join me as we walk this messy road called life, together.
God has blessed me with a fantastic husband of 30 years (and counting), four children, one son-in-love, one daughter-in-love, and two granddaughters (and counting). My days are full, serving my family, community, and the Lord as a youth Bible study leader, online English teacher, and “soon-to-be-retired homeschool mom.” A native of Des Moines, Iowa, I’ve made the Memphis, Tennessee area my home since 2006.
You can watch a five-minute version of my testimony on YouTube here or if you’d like to listen to a longer version “Eyewitness Testimony of a Former Atheist,” that is found here or you can watch it on YouTube here.
My story of continuing my pregnancy following a fatal prenatal diagnosis was published in 2014. I wrote “A Child of Promise: A Bible Study for Parents Facing a Poor or Fatal Prognosis for their Unborn Child,” in honor of my son, Tommy, who was stillborn following in-utero surgery to try to save his life.
The name for this blog is drawn from Titus 2:3-5.
Titus 2: 3-5 “Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.”
My greatest desire is to bring my Father glory in all I say and do. I pray that you would grow in faith and wisdom as you learn with me the goodness of God and His Word.

I am so excited for you and Bill, Kim! I know God is going to do great things for the Kingdom due to your willingness to go and to share the Gospel. My prayers will definitely be with you and I will enjoy tracking with you and Bill. ALL FOR HIM!!!
